Principal Peterson
Principal Peterson (voiced by Dwayne Hill) is the African-Canadian principal of the middle school and is the father of Regeena. Tough but fair, he takes his interest in hockey to the point of obsession. His office is decorated with tons of memorabilia and he even has a penalty box in his office where he puts students who have misbehaved. He also likes to sprinkle his everyday speech with metaphors from hockey and all kinds of sports. His accent and style of fashion are patterned after veteran hockey commentator Don Cherry.
Among the staff under him are Mrs. Dourly (voiced by Robin Duke), originally a substitute teacher in Betty's art class but in last few seasons is Betty's regular teacher, and Coach Sorenson (voiced by Neil Crone), the school's slightly misogynistic physical education teacher and local minor hockey coach.
